Information About The School
AProf Clive Barstow
The School of Communications and Arts offers a diverse range of programs, designed to equip graduates with the knowledge and skills needed to live, work and contribute to the complex technological and creative culture of the 21st Century.

The School has a mission to foster and engage with creative practice in all its forms across a range of disciplines in fields that contribute to the emerging Creative Industries. Our reputation has been built on high quality teaching and research, and on our active collaborations with a range of global industries communities and professions.

The spirit and approach we take is to engage in creativity in all its forms, and to break down silos of practice in order to encourage a critical dialog in fields whose output lies at the centre of our contemporary culture. Our course structures are designed to encourage both focused and interdisciplinary pathways of study and are supported by internationally recognised academic and support staff. The School has state of the art facilities within an exciting multi arts environment that makes this a great place to study.

From 2007 the School will grow significantly to include programs in communications, media, design, arts and the humanities, and as a result will be one of the largest and most comprehensive of its kind in Australia. While offering a distinctive mix of courses and with opportunities to study at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in a range of applied, theoretical and research-based programs, we provide a unique opportunity for students to work in their field and mode of choice, and to realise their ambitions within a stimulating and professional environment.
